International Conference on Sustainable Innovation (ICoSI) is Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta’s (UMY) flagship conference. ICoSI 2025 comprises of multi-disciplinary focal conferences themed

“Sustainable Innovation and Technology Beyond Borderless Society”. After success since 2019, annually, consecutively, with more than 1000 presenters each year, this year ICoSI 2024 brings up15 focal conferences from various field of sciences including health science and nursing, agriculture and engineering, social sciences and economics, as well as law and religious studies. Benchmarking Publications and Journals from Binus University Jakarta

Learning and growing together.

On Thursday, May 15, 2025,
benchmarking publications and journals from Bina Nusantara University (BINUS) Jakarta was held at 09.00 WIB until completion, located in Meeting Room 2 of Dasron Building Hamid Research and Innovation Center (RIC) ground floor, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). This activity was attended by the Head of Research Division of BINUS, Lecturer BINUS Doctoral Experts, UMY Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Downstreaming, UMY Director of Research and Service, Head of UMY Impactful Publication Sub-Directorate, along with a team of journal managers and ICoSI staff. Introductions and brief introductions related to research and publications UMY delivered by Dr. Med. dr. Supriyatiningsih, Sp.OG., M.Kes. as Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Downstream. Then the explanation and questions and answers related to international conference management and Scopus and Sinta indexed journals 1 and 2 at UMY were delivered by Dr. Yessi Jusman, S.T., M.Sc. as Head of the Sub-Directorate of Publication Impact as well as ICoSI chairperson.

The visit included in-depth discussions regarding the management of
international conferences, exchange of innovative ideas, strategies for increasing scientific publications of lecturers and students, and opportunities for cooperation in publishing Proceedings indexed Scopus in ICoSI and Journals, especially Sinta 1 and 2 mutually. BINUS University which is one of the best private universities in Indonesia is very enthusiastic about exchanging discussions with UMY which has become a reference for organizing international conferences (ICoSI).
Both BINUS University and UMY are eager to strengthen the relationship
and continue to work together on projects that emphasize innovation and
sustainability in research and publications. This activity is expected to open
more doors for collaborative research initiatives and joint academic events
between the two universities.

We would like to express our deepest thanks for the support and participation of the participants and Focal committee in the 8th ICoSI 2024 event. Opening Conference

The opening ceremony of the conference was filled with remarks from the rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and remarks from the chairman of ICoSI UMY, enlivened by art performances and fashion shows.

The keynote speaker session at the ICoSI conference brought together speakers who are experts in their fields to present material and discuss with each other.

This was followed by a focus session, where participants explained and presented their research results and discussed with each other.

The series of ICoSI UMY events were closed with a closing speech by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the presentation of awards for participants who received the best paper and best presentation titles.
