International Symposium of Engineering, Technology and Health sciences

In the disruptive era, sustainable innovation is a must in almost every aspects of human being wether it is education or business, as well as engineering, technology and health services. Undoubtfully, in recent technology advancement, people has been taking the advantages of it to the complexity of various aspect of human life (but not limited to) financial, information, and health. People has been witnessing the new way of financial transaction with bitcoin; real-time communication utilizing the new generation of telecommunication technology has been displacing the face-to-face direct way of communication; and for certain, the state-of-the-art technology in diagnostic and treatment has put a new way of managing many diseases and all health-related problems in medicine. With the daily changes in the disruptive era, innovations in the field of engineering, technology and health sciences should not only be established, but it should also be widely disseminated and wisely utilized to and by the community.

International Symposium of Engineering, Technology and Health Sciences (ISETH) is a unique platform of sharing ideas and concept between various aspects of engineering, technology and health sciences in trying to understand in more depth of how those aspects intertwining in human daily lives. With the main theme of “Sustainable Innovation in Disruptive Era”, which is the umbrella theme of the 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Innovation (ICoSI), the ISETH establishes the sub-theme of “Challenges and Opportunities of Technology, Engineering and Health Sciences in Disruptive Era”. The event is established in trying to shed some lights into how the intertwining aspects of technology, engineering and health might influence how people strive in their lives. Nonetheless, we are welcoming any works in individual aspect with strong ideas related to the theme.

One of the example in disruptive innovation can be seen in the field of public health which is developing rapidly, especially to response on the higher demands of health system information. As this has a significant impact on health communication and public health in general. Electronic health or known as E health, was one of health system information, which gives possibilities on health data access when geographical contact is impossible or very limited. Indonesia as an archipelago country, with thousand of islands, which among them mostly are categorized as remote areas, will need the extension of E health to support health services.
